Very happy birthday greetings to Kari who was 12 years old yesterday, but someone forgot! We wont name names for the innocent and feeble minded have to be protected!! Just look at her, she doesn't look any older than last year does she!!!

Last weekend at the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain's Open Show, under breed specialist judge Mrs Cilla Saunders, Evie was placed 1st in Puppy Bitch, took Best Puppy Bitch followed by Best Puppy in Show!!!

I am really proud of this stunning young lady.

The latest gorgeous girl from the Nyassa Kennel is Nyassa Everlasting Love - "Evie"!

I am delighted with her progress, and although only lightly shown I am very pleased with her consistent ring performances to date. These include:

On 6th June 2009 at Southern Counties Canine Association Championship Show under breed specialist judge Ms G Lawless, Nyassa Daka at Torcharbe "Tor" took the Dog CC, his second!

Well done to owner handler Jo and sideline supporter Jo's husband Andy. I'm sure the third one can't be far away!!

On 3rd May 2009 at the Southern Rhodesian Ridgeback Association Championship Show under all round judge Mr N Bryce-Smith, Nyassa Caluua at Kitoko "Caluua" took the Bitch CC and Best in Show!! This was Caluua's third CC and thus makes her a Champion!!

I am so proud of Caluua and owner handler Sarah. They make a delightful duo who's partnership was sealed when Caluua was just seven weeks old and they picked each other!!

I am sure there are many more wins to come.

Nyassa Cruz "Cruz"
21st March 2006 - 19th April 2009

I am very sad to report that at just three years of age co-owner Julie Mounfield and I have lost our beautiful red boy Cruz. He was rushed to the vets on Sunday the 19th of April with bloat, after receiving treatment he was placed on a drip and sedated, unfortunately he had another bloat and had emergency surgery. It was at this stage we were informed that Cruz had full blown torsion and nothing could be done to save him, we let him go under anaesthetic.

Julie and I are devastated, he was such a sweet gentle boy. Cruz lived with his dad Bruk and sister Lula, he will be very sadly missed by all his friends and doggy family. I’m just so glad I had him with me for a weekend prior to this awful event, a perfect gentleman. Goodnight sweet boy, from all at Nyassa
